Since we last spoke we have cleared out our whole storage unit and packed a few things into the spare room at my mum's and the in-laws'. We also had a successful garage sale & have continuously worked at keeping things to a minimum. I make it a point to have a clear out every so often. It really helps to not feel too cluttered!
Over these past few months we have had to have our tie rod ends replaced and a rotation & alignment done. Leaving our whole home [belongings and all] at some mechanic's shop is overwhelmingly stressful. Thank god that's over. Except we have to go in and get an inspection in the coming days :( BOO!
I recently heard about a tv show looking for fulltime RV'ers and sent in an application for a joke with some other people in a forum. I mentioned that we were so young and really enjoyed the lifestyle and they actually responded! I ended up not hearing from them anymore but that opportunity would've been fun, had hubs agreed to it!!
Our most recent outing was on a camping vacation with hubs' parents and his uncle who also has an RV. The trip was tons of fun and bubs got to enjoy so much dirt! He definitely ate a slice of dirt-covered mango and a few tiny rocks. We rode bikes, attempted to fish, and watched a few amazing sunsets. Camping in your house is a little weird but mainly totally convenient and fun!
So here's some pics... and meanwhile things around here are a'changing and we are really working towards the plan for our future. More on that to come! :)
View from the front. To the left is one of three captain's chairs, the doorway, the kitchen. On the right is the sofa and then the dining table.
Homemade origami heart Valentines garland above the doorway :) Through the door you can see our super comfy camping chairs that we got free with credit card points!
Favorite spot to catch up on Parks and Recreation! Also makes in to a large bed for camping guests!
A little peak in to our cupboards.. to the left there's art supplies, playing cards, electronics, and a sushi set. In the middle there's board games and books and to the right is a whole cupboard full of diapers, wipes, and children's books.
Our usual set up... A hanging basket full of produce and occasionally an important piece of mail or two, jars full of tea bags, extra fruit laying about and coffee cups set up for the morning.
Our kitchen, including a dish drying rack, a coffee percolator, our food pantry, and a magnetic spice cupboard below the art adorned microwave :)
In the front window we keep our wedding photograph, currently coupled with my anniversary plant. LOVE
Loose tea, anyone? Yes, I am a proud -and typical- brit!
Love etsy.com for this quaint English clock (Bishop's Stortford and all)...
...as well as these fun elephant sofa cushions!
Finley's favorite things to do outside include scooting backwards on his "car" and sweeping!
I'm not much of a gardener yet but we have had a couple of tomatoes and shoots of broccoli Look at that cabbage plant! It's taking over! (ignore all the rest of the pots full of death!)
