Well, she can hit 80mph.
Our first trip out was SO MUCH FUN. Admittedly, we both got a little stressed at times and definitely ran into a couple of "communication issues" as we like to call them - but all in all figuring out Roo's little quirks was great. You learn so much doing stuff hands on. After a few more trips we feel like we'll really understand what it's mostly all about. The only real issue we ran into this time was our 30amp power cord fusing together (or some other technical term that I don't know) and melting. Eeek! We discovered she most definitely handles well speeding down the highway to get to the parts shop for a new fitting before they closed! It was a bit scary, but doable nonetheless. The rest of the weekend poor hubs was out there figuring out all the hoses and connections and all the yucky stuff you can imagine (which isn't yucky at all unless you're a crazy fool and try to open up your valves while not connected or something) while bub and I enjoyed the powerful a/c and got things all organized and stowed away indoors. I am so beyond belief excited to pack up our apartment and fill the RV with home. The end of the weekend was sad. Returning Roo to storage for a whole five days is heartbreaking. We are so ready to just be there. Always. Tear.

Corrrr, who knew
packing for a weekend could take SO long??? Bub has been super whiney and clingy all day and I had a list as long as my arm. I started my attempt at packing at half past 8 and it's now twenty past 3 and it's just now rolling to an end. There's still a couple of bits hubs has to take care of when he gets home (hopefully soon, he was meant to be here at lunch time and got held up) and food shopping to do tomorrow but otherwise we are ready! We're going to pull her (the RV whom we've decided to name Roo) up to the apartment to load up. Hopefully we won't get in trouble for doing so... Then she has to go off to storage until tomorrow :'(
All my posts have been solely about her, we are just so excited! I might get on to a new topic at some point! Can't wait for hubs to get here so we can start filling the cupboards and making Roo our own. TTFN! -oh, no, that's Tiger.

ps, a quick spot of help please?
I am a rubbish and very new blogger - how the heck do I get my 2 large pictures to align (and center on the page if possible)? I have tried every bloody option in all my template and layout settings etc etc. It's driving me mad! Thanks loves <3
Status: NuRVers!
Two days went by and I hadn't received my confirmation email. For a while I was thinking NuRVers was some kind of elite society and the likes of me would never get in. Then I realized I should probably check my junk email. Duh. Sorry NuRVers.com, I knew you loved me all along! We're in :)
In other news, the countdown is on and we are officially picking up the "big rig" in less than FOUR HOURS! The bub is sleeping so I am quickly updating, then we are off to pick up my bff (who has agreed to be a doll and take care of the munchkin for an hour so hubs and I can soak in everything the dealer says). The sales guy who helped us has agreed to give us a run through and we're bringing the video camera so we never forget how to flush the tanks, turn on the LP, kill the house battery, or turn the key in the ignition :) :)
The big plan is to finish signing all the dotted lines, DRIVE THAT SUCKA OFF THE LOT(!), park at my mum's and give her a tour, then get some shut eye (yeah right, we are way too excited!) and wait for tomorrow when we can start loading her up for our first weekend trip. I have lists coming out the bum to make sure we don't forget anything and great friends who are tagging along to see us *epic-ly fail* (not a word, I know). That's not actually the plan, hubs thinks we'll be fine. I'm more having-nightmares-every-night-about-every-single-thing-that-could-possibly-go-wrong-oh-my-god-the-baby-is-going-to-pee-on-the-bed-the-toilet-is-going-to-get-clogged-the-awning-is-going-to-get-torn-off-by-a-falling-tree-racoons-are-going-to-tear-down-the-door-the-air-conditioning-will-fail-and-we-will-forget-how-to-turn-the-key-and-even-get-there -- oh wait, we have a video for that. So wish us luck, it's literally going to be a white knuckle ride!

NuRVers.. we hope!
We just purchased our very own RV! It's our first and we are diving in head first - we've never even spent the night in one and now we'll be keeping it in storage for a mere two months while our lease ends, then FULLTIMING! I am looking for all sorts of tips and hints and friendly rv'ers to get to know. I'm all about joining the forums and sharing the love, we're gunna need all the help we can get! Being the only young people we know who own an RV, I signed us up for nurvers.com as soon as I stumbled across it. I'm hoping to get my confirmation email from them asap so I can start spreading my RVing social wings out there soon! I'll be posting pictures of the RV once we are in it (picking it up from the dealership in t-minus two days!) and posts in general about how the life is treating us. I hope to inspire some and get inspiration from others. Here goes nothin'! :)
